Child Safety
The staff shall use positive methods of discipline that encourage self-control, self direction, self-esteem and cooperation.
Corporal punishment is against the law
Non-server and developmentally appropriate discipline or restraint may be used when reasonably necessary based on a child’s development, to prevent a child from harming him or herself or to prevent a child from harming other persons or property, excluding those forms of punishment prohibited and are corporal.
Screening Policies Regarding Adults
All adults are required to undergo the below mentioned screening methods if in direct contact with All In Vision Child participants:
State background checks
Department of Human Service back ground checks
And, finally, a release shall be signed stating that child abuse and neglect is against the law and is prohibited. All adults understand that it is the individual responsibility of all adults to report suspected child abuse and not reporting suspected abuse may result in criminal charges.
